What is new-U?

Omnilux md new-U is a hand-held, Light Emitting Diode (LED) device for the treatment of periorbital wrinkles, more commonly known as crows feet. With the flip of a switch, its patented technology bathes the skin in alternating red and near infrared light. A study has also demonstrated improvements in skin tone and clarity. Omnilux md new-U is the first over-the-counter FDA cleared hand-held device for treatment of periorbital wrinkles.

How does new-U work?

Omnilux combination phototherapy works with the body's own natural processes to counteract the effects of aging. The different colored lights target specific cells which are responsible for the synthesis and repair of the skin's supportive structures.

Who is suitable for new-U?

Those who have sun-damaged skin and/or fine lines and wrinkles can use new-U.

What results can be expected from a series of treatments?

Best results will be seen between 4-8 weeks after treatment ends. The light stimulates natural processes that continue even after the treatment has stopped.

How many treatments will be needed?

The course of treatments is 2x20 minutes treatments per week for 4 weeks of alternate infrared and red light, but because the light will not damage your skin, there is no limit on the number of treatments you can have.

How long do the results last?

This depends on the age of your skin and the amount of photodamage. Skin rejuvenation is a dynamic process, and natural expression lines (i.e. lines caused by laughing, smiling, frowning and crying) will gradually return in the course of time. Since we can't stop the aging process, we recommend follow-up treatments (typically 2 to 4 treatments) every month dependent upon your lifestyle.

Is new-U all I need for my skin?

Omnilux md new-U is not a substitute for total skincare. We suggest you speak with your skincare specialist to find the best combination for your skin.

Is new-U safe and painless?

Yes. Subjects in our clinical trials have reported some skin redness after the first 1-2 treatments, but this is only temporary and will fade. No other adverse side effects were reported.
